NLSIU was the first National Law University established in 1988 to pioneer legal education reforms in India. The founder of the institute is Dr. N R Madhava Menon who is considered the father of modern legal education in India. The institute is known as the Harward of the East.
Programs Offered
B.A., LL.B. (Honours): A five-year integrated course. Admission to this undergraduate program is done based on marks obtained by the students in the National Law Aptitude Test.
LL.M- Master of Laws: NLSIU offers one year LL.M. Degree program in two distinct and separate branches of specialization i.e., Business Laws and Human Rights Laws. Admission to this program is done based on obtained by the students in National Law Aptitude Test.
